Depending on how confident and fit a cyclist you are, there are a range of destinations that can be accessed by bike from Egstow Park.
Many of the local amenities in Clay Cross are easily accessed by bike. Within just a few minutes of cycling, you’ll find retailers, hospitality, employment opportunities and other key amenities – when considering traffic and the time it takes to park, cycling may be quicker than a journey by car! Tupton Hall School and Holmgate Primary School and Nursery are also both within a 10-minute cycle, meaning the school run is doable by bike too. More confident cyclists can even reach Chesterfield itself, which is accessible in a 30-minute trip up the A61.
